
Just when you thought that college course offerings couldn't stretch the educational fabric any further, Manchester Metropolitan University in England, willl be offering members of McDonalds management in the UK the opportunity to earn qualifications in Business Management.
The fast food giant aims to revamp its educational program (which started with apprenticeships and trainee schemes) to challenge the image of McDonald's Management teams, which have long been tainted with the laxidasical "McJob" label, according to senior vice-president David Fairhurst.
As an extra incentive McDonald's wants to join work and education and give the opportunity to employees to earn the education and skills they need to become successful candidates for promotion.
McDonald's has undergone a massive re-marketing campaign in the U.K. over the last decade to revamp its image and the new education program in sure to only add to what is already being considered a welcome and long overdue reimaging.
